This deck was originally published by Josef Rauch Miller in Salzburg around 1780. Given the similarity of the line work, it was probably inspired by the Besancon deck created by Andreas Benedictus Göbl around 1770 in Munich. The symbolic elements are exactly those of the Tarot of Marseilles with the exception of the Pope and the Popess, replaced with Giunione and Giove, (Juno and Jove) as is typical in the Tarots called Besançon.
Includes 36 page booklet in English with a discussion of Tarot in Germany from the 16th to the 18th century and color illustrations; a signed and numbered title card; a gold lamé deck pouch, and Giulia Orsini's little 12 page guide to divination with the Tarot of Marseille including card meanings and instructions in English for 2 spreads; the arrow and a 7 card spread.

Edition limited to 900 copies. Number on the deck that will be shipped will vary from the photo since the deck for sale has not been opened. Another deck was used for photos and scans.
